Former Head Of Britain’s Labour Party Refuses 17 Times To Say Hamas Is A Terror Group

Jeremy Corbyn, the former head of the Labour Party in Great Britain who has a history of anti-Israel rhetoric, refused to answer when host Piers Morgan repeatedly asked him if Hamas is a terrorist  group.

Corbyn, who almost became the prime minister of Great Britain in 2017, called Hamas and Hezbollah “friends” in 2009.  “It will be my pleasure and honor to host an event in parliament where our friends from Hezbollah will be speaking,” he said, adding: “I’ve also invited our friends from Hamas to come and speak as well.”

On October 23, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said of Corbyn, “I’m surprised he hasn’t made any reference to the fact an organization he once described as a ‘friend’ has perpetuated an absolutely appalling act of terrorism.”

In 2009, Corbyn stated Hamas should be removed from a list of terror groups, telling Al Jazeera on April 16, 2009, “At some point, Hamas should be removed from this list because contacts with Hamas by politicians are increasing day after day.”

Morgan persisted in trying to get Corbyn to acknowledge that Hamas is a terror group. The exchange started like this:

Morgan: Are they a terror group?

Corbyn: Everybody knows what they are.

Morgan: Are they a terror group? Can you say it?

Corbyn: Piers, can we have a discussion?

Morgan: Can you say it?

Corbyn: Can we have a discussion?

Morgan: Can you call them a terror group?

Corbyn: Piers, can we have a discussion?

Morgan: Can you call them a terror group?

Corbyn: Is it possible to have a rational discussion with you?

Morgan: Are you prepared to call Hamas a terror group?

Corbyn: Is it possible to have a rational discussion with you?

Morgan: You can’t, can you.

Corbyn: Is it possible? Come on, answer that question.

Morgan: You can’t, can’t you.

Corbyn: You answer is?

Morgan: No. It’s my show. You answer my question. Are Hamas a terror group?

Corbyn: Listen, can I —

Morgan: Are they a terror group?

Corbyn: Piers, can I —

Morgan: Answer the question.

Corbyn: Can I speak?

Morgan: Are they a terror group?

Corbyn: Piers —

Morgan: No.

Corbyn: If you let me speak —

Morgan: Are they a terror group?

Morgan asked, “Are they a terror group?” three more times, and when Corbyn refused to answer, Morgan fired, “Why can’t you say it? Just answer my question: Are Hamas a terror group?”

After again repeatedly asking Corbyn if Hamas is a terror group, Morgan said, “I’ve asked you two questions: Should Hamas stay in power and are they a terror group. You’re refusing to answer either of them. That is very telling. And you wonder why people think you have a problem with Jewish people.”
