The post was the first message shared on social media by the Marvel star since news surfaced that he had been injured while removing snow from the driveway of his Nevada home. He had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital.

On Monday, a spokesperson said Renner was “in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” Deadline reported. “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Kristin Vietti said, “Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital” from his home about 25 miles outside of Reno, as previously reported.

Renner’s family later confirmed that he had “suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023,” People reported. “He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”

On Tuesday evening, Renner’s publicist, Samantha Mast, said “The Hurt Locker” star is making progress, but remains in the ICU, CNN reported.

“Jeremy is making positive progress and is awake, talking and in good spirits,” Mast shared. “He remains in ICU in critical but stable condition. He is overwhelmed by the showing of love and support. The family asks for your continued thoughts while he heals with his close loved ones.”
