Police Warn Of Shots Fired At Michigan State University

Police at Michigan State University (MSU) issued an alert Monday night warning of an active shooter on campus.

MSU police there were reports of shots fired at multiple locations around the East Lansing, Michigan, campus, including near Berkey Hall and IM East.

The MSU police Twitter account said there were “multiple reported injuries” at IM East and police were responding to the scenes.

MSU said a single suspect is believed to be on foot. The suspect’s whereabouts were not immediately clear.

Authorities advised communities members on and off campus to shelter in place.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said she has been briefed on the situation.
