Biden Refuses To Commit To Having Independent Medical Evaluation Of His Neurological, Cognitive Functions

President Joe Biden repeatedly refused to commit to having an independent medical evaluation of his neurological and cognitive functions as he tries to stave off an effort from inside his party to remove him from the top of the ticket.

Biden made the remarks during a Friday interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos following his disastrous debate performance last week against former President Donald Trump.

The 81-year-old said that he could not run a 100-yard dash in 10 seconds flat, but he was “still in good shape.”

He said that his doctors told him following the debate that he was just “exhausted” and that his doctors travel with him everywhere he goes.

“I have an ongoing assessment of what I’m doin’, and they don’t hesitate to tell me if they think there’s something wrong,” he claimed.

When asked if he’s had a “a full neurological and cognitive evaluation,” Biden said that he gets “a full neurological test every day” with performing the job of being president.

When asked if he’s had “specific cognitive tests” performed by a neurologist, Biden said: “No. No one said I had to. No one said. They said I’m good.”

“Would you be willing to undergo an independent medical evaluation that included neurological and cognitive tests and release the results to the American people?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“I have a cognitive test every single day,” Biden claimed. “Every day I have that test. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world. Not– and that’s not hi– sounds like hyperbole, but we are the essential nation of the world.”

Biden was again asked if he would be willing to have an independent medical evaluation done to “reassure” the American people, to which he deflected: “Watch me between– there’s a lotta time left in this campaign. There’s over 125 days. They’ll make a decision.”

He then claimed that he’s “already done it.”

Biden Makes False Claim About Trump To Explain His Disastrous Debate Performance

President Joe Biden, facing a make or break moment, partially blamed his disastrous debate performance last week on former President Donald Trump by falsely claiming that Trump repeatedly interrupted him during the debate.

Biden made the remarks during an ABC News interview on Friday afternoon with host George Stephanopoulos as he seeks to stop Democrats from forcing him to quit his presidential run and allow someone else to be the nominee.

Biden claimed that his performance was just a “bad episode” and that there was “no indication of any serious condition,” adding that he was “exhausted” during the debate.

The 81-year-old said that he was exhausted despite having several days to rest because he was “sick” and claimed that doctors told him that he had a “really bad cold.”

He said that he took full responsibility for his debate preparation and that no one else was to blame and that he had a “bad night.”

Biden then falsely claimed that Trump was trying to interrupt him during the debate, which is not remotely accurate as a simple review of the debate footage shows Trump standing silently as Biden fumbled over his words.

“Even when I was answering a question, even though they turned his mic off, he was still shouting,” Biden claimed. “And I let it distract me.”
