UFC Partners With Anheuser-Busch To Make Bud Light Its ‘Official Beer’ After Transgender Backlash

UFC announced this week that it is partnering with Anheuser-Busch to make controversial beer brand Bud Light the new official beer of the mixed martial arts organization.

The announcement comes after Bud Light has faced months of declining sales following its partnership with controversial transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney and the company’s subsequent failed attempts to quell the backlash.

“Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light were UFC’s original beer sponsors more than fifteen years ago. I’m proud to announce we are back in business together,” UFC CEO Dana White said in a press release this week. “There are many reasons why I chose to go with Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light, most importantly because I feel we are very aligned when it comes to our core values and what the UFC brand stands for. I’m looking forward to all of the incredible things we will do in the years ahead.”

Bud Light will become the “Official Beer Partner of UFC” when the partnership goes into effect on January 1, 2024, and will bring “fans with 360-degree programming, including custom social and digital content, broadcast integration, on-site presence, and more.”

“Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light have always been on the cutting edge of iconic sporting moments that fans remember forever, and reuniting with UFC is a continuation of this industry leading legacy,” said Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch. “As one of the largest and longest standing sport sponsors, we are excited to work with UFC to celebrate our passionate fans while always making a positive impact in communities across America.”

Bud Light will now replace Modelo as the UFC’s official beer. Modelo took over the top spot as the most sold beer in the U.S. after Bud Light partnered with Mulvaney back in the Spring.

Britney Spears Says New Memoir Set Huge Milestone One Day After Release

Britney Spears posted on Instagram that her new memoir “The Woman In Me” set a huge milestone one day after the book, filled with numerous bombshells, finally hit stores.

In a post on Tuesday, the 41-year-old pop singer shared an image of the cover of her tell-all book with a message that read, “My story. On my terms. At last.”

She captioned the post, “It’s happening. My book is the highest selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1! Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive! Love you all! #TheWomanInMe…”

The Daily Wire has reached out to Simon and Schuster to confirm the “Womanizer” hitmaker’s comments alleging her book is the “highest selling” celebrity memoir in history.

If this does turn out to be true, it would mean the pop star can claim bragging rights over Prince Harry after the release of his memoir “Spare” in January set a new Guinness World Record as the fastest selling non-fiction book ever, Newsweek noted.

After the royal’s book came out on January 10, the publisher Penguin Random House released one day sales that exceeded 1.4 million copies, the outlet noted.

“The Woman In Me” is currently leading Amazon and Barnes & Noble best selling book charts, though the booksellers have yet to release data confirming its first day sales, Newsweek noted. Simon and Schuster has also yet to release the book’s first day sales.

Throughout the book, Spears drops several bombshells like the alleged abortion she had at 19 while dating Justin Timberlake, teen drinking with her mom, feeling “objectified” by her parents/media, and the how she felt about the conservatorship she was under that was controlled by her father Jamie Spears for nearly 14 years.

Spears claims in the book that while she was dating Timberlake, she got pregnant and ended up getting an abortion, claiming the actor “didn’t want to be a father.” The two dated from 1999 — when she was 17 and he was 18 — until 2002, Variety noted.

She wrote that if it had been left up to her alone, she never would have aborted the baby, but added that Timberlake said they were “too young” to have a child. “To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”

In November 2021, a judge terminated the conservatorship.

“The Woman In Me” released on October 24.
