Campus Reform Correspondents Slam California University For Urging Students To Report Professors For ‘Racism’

Florida college students on Sunday slammed a California university for urging its non-white students to report professors who cause “race-related stress.”

California State University Monterey Bay officials published material on the institution’s website under the Personal Growth and Counseling Center section, which suggests students “think broadly about what could be an act of racism,” which includes a professor consistently not calling on them or minimizing their contributions and teaching racially biased curriculum.

However, three Campus Reform correspondents told “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Sunday it only pushes the broader issues of far-left liberal colleges injecting the “woke” agenda into college classrooms.

“I believe when Francis Bellamy wrote ‘One Nation under God, Indivisible,’ we oftentimes overlook that word indivisible,” Florida State University graduate law student Darryl Boyer said. “We must stop dividing our nation and come together as one.”

Boyer, a black student who earned his undergraduate degree at the University of North Florida before entering his current graduate program, said he has never felt discriminated against based on the color of his skin.

According to Cal State Monterey Bay’s website, race-related stress cause symptoms ranging from psychological issues like anxiety, depression, paranoia, and self-blame. Other concerns noted on the website claim physiological health problems may arise, including heart disease, hypertension, and muscle tension.

“Don’t ignore or minimize your experiences,” the website reads. “Talk to someone you trust, and report it.”

Boyer, however, said the fact the university is pushing students to tell on their professors for racism makes him “feel dehumanized.”

“That really takes away the credibility for when things like that may really be happening,” he said.

University of Central Florida student Courtney McLain told the news outlet she has been witnessing more of the conceptual framework of diversity, equity, and inclusion, which claims to promote the fair treatment and full participation of all people, enforced in her school and taking away from academia learning.

“I’m frustrated because I feel like I’m not learning as much academically as I could because we’re putting so much money into this,” McLain said. “We’re seeing this in more and more schools across the country, that these students are just being believed automatically, which worries me because when I need to go to my administration about a problem, they don’t want to believe me since sometimes these students are actually saying things that are incredible.”

University of Florida student Emily Sturge said the move from Cal State Monterey Bay is another example of “wokeism taking over college campuses.”

“We’re seeing the left inject this woke ideology into college classrooms because this is how the left is winning,” Sturge said. “They’re winning the culture war because they’re injecting it into our course curriculum.”

Sturge called the ideology “absolutely crazy,” adding the movement has spread from blue states such as California to red states like Florida.

Locals Shocked As Authorities Pull 4-Foot Alligator From NYC Lake

City park workers shocked themselves — and passersby – when they dragged a four-foot-long alligator from Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Lake on Sunday morning.

The alligator was reportedly spotted by park visitors early on Sunday, floating in the lake in an area that was often popular with children. The animal was lethargic, authorities say, possibly in shock because the cold temperatures in the lake did not meet those of the animal’s natural habitat.

According to a report published Sunday by Spectrum News NY1, the alligator was taken first to an animal care center and then to the Bronx Zoo. No one was injured by the animal while it was in the park.

Authorities appeared to suggest that the alligator could possibly have been someone’s pet — and that the person had attempted to release it into the wild — and they warned against others who might be tempted to take similar actions.

“Parks are not suitable homes for animals not indigenous to those parks-domesticated or otherwise. In addition to the potential danger to park goers this could have caused, releasing non-indigenous animals or unwanted pets can lead to the elimination of native species and unhealthy water quality,” a spokesperson for the department said in a statement, adding that such actions could prove dangerous for the animals as well.

The alligator, at the time it was retrieved from the lake, was “very lethargic and possibly cold shocked since it is native to warm, tropical climates.”

A man — who gave only the name Moses — told The New York Post, “If I saw that gator, I would have kicked it back in the water! You’d never expect to see something like that here. But man, I feel bad for it. It shouldn’t be in a lake. Animals are like people, you know?”

“What? An alligator?! OK … oh, my goodness,” 37-year-old father Vijay Jacob told the Post. “That’s pretty terrifying since this part is a pretty kids-dominated section of the park. We come here a lot, but I’d never expect to see an alligator here. Maybe that’s why it’s so abandoned here today.”
