Britney Spears’ Husband Sam Asghari Defends Her ‘Manic’ Behavior At L.A. Restaurant, Said He Didn’t Storm Out

Britney Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, is clarifying some details about an incident that happened over the weekend at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Witnesses said they saw Asghari “storm out” of the restaurant JOEY in Woodland Hills while Spears stayed behind at the table speaking to herself unintelligibly. She left soon after with her bodyguard. The episode was captured on multiple recordings as the restaurant patrons pulled out their phones to document what was happening.

Asghari has since given his side of the incident with the paparazzi photographer, per TMZ. He said Spears did not have a “manic episode” and that she was upset, in part, because so many people were filming her. Asghari also said he had just run to his car and did not leave the restaurant because he was angry.

He went on to contradict eyewitness reports of the “Slave 4 U” singer acting erratic, reiterating that his wife of seven months was just frustrated from all the attention on her.

Spears posted a video of herself dancing to the song “I Touch Myself” by the Divinyls to Instagram the next day, which featured the 41-year-old flipping off the camera multiple times. Later in the evening, she shared another Instagram post that seemed to address the incident.

The singer said she was “looking like [the Dreamworks animated ogre] Shrek” at the restaurant and that media outlets were “all hyped about me being a little drunk” there, and that they’re “watching my every move.”

Spears next addressed her fans and supporters directly, saying, “I know y’all are rooting for me and all and make sure you check out the shocking Shrek picture of me … I was like damn that’s horrific yet there were two pics where I was normal … either way honestly I know nobody gives a flying f*** what I do.”

The #FreeBritney movement proponents have been keeping an eye on Spears following the end of her 13-year conservatorship, which gave control of her $60 million estate to her father, Jamie. It ended in November 2021 when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny granted Spears’ petition to terminate the agreement.

Since the conservatorship ended, some fans have become increasingly concerned about Spears as she’s been frequently posting nude photos, rambling rants, and strange videos on social media. But fervent supporters say the pop star is finally free just to be herself.

Pfizer, BioNTech ‘Pressured’ Twitter To Censor Activists Demanding Generic COVID Vaccine: Report

A new installment of The Twitter Files released Monday alleges that a coronavirus vaccine manufacturer pressured Twitter into censoring accounts that were pushing companies to share the intellectual property and patents associated with the vaccines so low-cost generic versions could be made.

The Intercept reported that BioNTech, which developed Pfizer’s vaccine, and the German government allegedly warned the social media company of upcoming pressure campaigns targeting the companies.

“The authorities are warning about ‘serious consequences’ of the action, i.e. posts and a flood of comments ‘that may violate TOS’ as well as the ‘takeover of user accounts’ are to be expected,” Nina Morschhaeuser, a lobbyist for Twitter, said in an email. “Especially the personal accounts of the management of the vaccine manufacturers are said to be targeted. Accordingly, fake accounts could also be set up.”

Pfizer and Moderna’s lobbying group, BIO, did flag tweets that contained genuine misinformation, like claiming that vaccines contained microchips. BIO also provided $1,275,000 to establish a campaign called “Stronger” that helped Twitter create content moderation bots and select which public health accounts got verification. Some content that was targeted did appear to be misinformation, according to The Intercept reporter Lee Fang, who covered the latest installment of the Twitter Files.

“But others Stronger lobbied Twitter on were more of a grey area, like vaccine passports & vaccine mandates, policies that coerce vaccination,” Fang wrote.

11. Many of the tweets the BIO-funded campaign focused on were truly unhinged misinfo, like claims that vaccines include microchips.
