Climate Change Brat Greta Thunberg Now Protesting… Wind Farms in Norway (VIDEO)

World famous climate brat Greta Thunberg is now in Norway protesting wind farms. Wind farms!

Isn’t she supposed to support alternative and green forms of energy like this? Isn’t this what she has been demanding for years now?

One almost gets the sense that she is more interested in protesting than the issue of claimate change which she claims to care so much about.

CBS News reports:

Greta Thunberg joins activists’ protest against a wind farm in Norway

Dozens of activists, including Greta Thunberg of neighboring Sweden, blocked the entrance to Norway’s energy ministry in Oslo Monday to protest a wind farm they say hinders the rights of the Sami Indigenous people to raise reindeer in Arctic Norway. The activists, mainly teenagers, lay outside the ministry entrance holding Sami flags and a poster reading “Land Back.”

The protesters from organizations called Young Friends of The Earth Norway and the Norwegian Sami Association’s youth council NSR-Nuorat, said “the ongoing human rights violations” against Sami reindeer herders “must come to an end.” Several of the activists donned the Sami’s traditional bright-colored dress and put up a tent used by the Arctic people.

In October 2021, Norway’s Supreme Court ruled that the construction of the wind turbines violated the rights of the Sami, who have been using the land to raise reindeer for centuries. However, the wind farm is still operating.

“It is absurd that the Norwegian government has chosen to ignore the ruling,” said Thunberg, who joined the protest early Monday.

Over the weekend, the protesters had occupied the ministry’s lobby but were evicted by police early Monday, according to Norwegian broadcaster NRK. They shifted their protest to chaining themselves outside the main entrance to the ministry, prompting authorities to urge employees to work from home.

Why does anyone even listen to her?

Again proving @GretaThunberg is not a serious person, and not someone any of should consider when debating policy. https://t.co/22Nf02DZTM

Let’s see her try to protest for climate change in China.

How do you think that would end?

Group of Bipartisan Senators Discuss Raising Social Security Retirement Age to 70

Here we go…

A group of bipartisan senators are discussing raising the retirement age on Social Security to about 70.

According to Semafor, the group of senators led by Angus King (I-ME) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) are considering raising the retirement age.

The Senators insisted there are no cuts for Americans currently receiving Social Security benefits.

“This is an example of two leaders trying to find a solution to a clear and foreseeable danger,” Cassidy and King spokespeople told Semafor in a statement. “Although the final framework is still taking shape, there are no cuts for Americans currently receiving Social Security benefits in our plan. Indeed, many will receive additional benefits.

Semafor reported:

A bipartisan group led by Sens. Angus King, I-Maine, and Bill Cassidy, R-La. is considering gradually raising the retirement age to about 70 as part of their legislation to overhaul Social Security, Semafor has learned from two people briefed on their efforts.

Other options on the table include changing the existing formula that calculates monthly benefits from one based on a worker’s average earnings over 35 years to a different formula that’s based instead on the number of years spent working and paying into Social Security.

The plan also includes a proposed sovereign wealth fund (as previously reported by Semafor) that could be seeded with $1.5 trillion or more in borrowed money to jumpstart stock investments, the people said. If it fails to generate an 8% return, both the maximum taxable income and the payroll tax rate would be increased to ensure Social Security stays on track to be solvent another 75 years.

In a brief interview Monday evening on Capitol Hill, Cassidy said he’d been meeting with stakeholders for the past two years on the proposal, but that its details were still in flux. “You could really take a fund and, with certain assumptions, take all your revenue from there,” he told Semafor.
