WWE legend Bushwhacker Butch dead at 78

WWE Hall of Famer Bushwhacker Butch, the former pro wrestler whose real name is Robert Miller, has died, the company announced on Monday. He was 78.

Miller was half of the famous WWE tag team named The Bushwhackers. The New Zealand native teamed up with Bushwhacker Luke, whose real name is Luke Williams, and they became fan favorites in WWE and in wrestling promotions around the world.

"The Bushwhackers became one of WWE’s most popular tag teams of all time, competing in multiple WrestleManias," WWE said in a news release. "They thrilled the WWE universe with their signature march to the ring, swinging their arms and hugging fans along the way. The duo also appeared as themselves in a memorable episode of the television show ‘Family Matters,’ where The Bushwhackers wrestled against Carl Winslow and Steve Urkel."

Williams announced Miller’s death on his Instagram account.

"Late last night, I lost my friend, brother and tag team partner of over 50 years with the passing of Bob ‘Butch’ Miller. My heart goes out to his wife Helen, his lovely daughters Sharon and Kirsten, and all of his grandchildren. From the early-1970s when we were young mates wrestling for John da Silva in New Zealand, my first impression of Bob ‘The Chest’ Miller (as he was called in those days) was that he was a first-class redneck, and what bloody redneck he was!" Williams wrote on Instagram.

"But he was also an all-around good guy and a great friend. By the time we reached our mid-20s, we found ourselves traveling the world together, from New Zealand to Australia to Malaysia, Singapore and Japan, before 'invading' the North American territories in Canada and the United States as The Sheepherders. In 1988, we were in our 40s and still at the top of our game when we got a call from the offices in Connecticut with an offer to join the largest and fastest growing wrestling promotion in the world, the WWF/E- The Bushwhackers were born!

SHANE MCMAHON SUFFERS TORN QUAD IN SURPRISE WRESTLEMANIA 39 APPEARANCE

"As The Bushwhackers we appeared in the largest venues in the world, in front of the biggest crowds professional wrestling had ever seen! And we were eventually honored by our fans and peers with our inclusion in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2020. We did it all, we saw it all, and we accomplished it all together. This past weekend in Los Angeles, Bob flew in from New Zealand to join me for Wrestlemania weekend and the related festivities, neither of us knowing it would be our last days together and his last days of life. If you were to read the story of my life it would say that I am only child, but it would be wrong. In life I had a brother and his name was Bob Miller. I love you, Bob. Until I see you again, WOOOOAHH YEEEEAAHH!"

The tag team won championships in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, the Continental Wrestling Association, Stampede Wrestling and Pacific Northwest Wrestling, among other promotions.

The two were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.

Madeleine McCann: Woman claiming to be missing British toddler gets DNA test results

A Polish woman who thought she could be Madeleine McCann, a British girl who went missing from a family vacation in Portugal 16 years ago, has received the results of a DNA test showing she is 100% Polish.

The Polish woman, Julia Faustyna, who also goes by Julia Wendlet, had been claiming for weeks on Instagram and TikTok that she may be McCann, who disappeared at age 3, due to similarities in their appearance and age.

"Julia's test results are back. We finally know the reality," Fia Johansson, a psychic social media star who offered to represent Faustyna as a spokesperson during her quest for answers, said in a Tuesday statement posted to Instagram.

"The test results revealed that she is 100% of Polish heart, with negligible influence from Lithuania and Russia," Johansson continued. "The DNA test results did not show any connection to British or even German roots."

MADELEINE MCCANN DISAPPEARANCE: POLISH POLICE REPORTEDLY DISPUTE WOMAN'S CLAIMS SHE IS MISSING BRITISH GIRL

Faustyna amassed tens of thousands of followers – many of whom were critical of her claims on her Instagram account, @iammadeleinemccann, as a result of her speculation online. She and Johansson even appeared on Dr. Phil together last month, but Johansson says it was never about internet fame.

"She truly believed what she was saying, and with so many questions about her childhood it is easy to understand where she was coming from," Johansson said.

Faustyna's account began posting photos in February. The Polish woman said she has a spot in her right eye and a beauty mark on her cheek that resemble McCann's. She also claimed that details of her childhood do not add up, leading her to believe that she was abducted as a toddler.

BRITISH GIRL MADELEINE MCCANN STILL MISSING AFTER 15 YEARS

Faustyna has apparently reunited with her father following the DNA test results, according to Johansson, and McCann is still missing.

The missing girl's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, along with their three children – Madeleine and twins Sean and Amelie – were on vacation in Praia da Luz, Portugal, when Madeleine was taken from her bed on May 3, 2007. The family was staying in a ground-floor apartment.

"Due to an active police investigation, Gerry and Kate are not issuing any statements or giving interviews unless requested by The Metropolitan Police," a spokesperson for the Official Find Madeleine Campaign previously told Fox News Digital in a statement.

MADELEINE MCCANN ABDUCTION SUSPECT CLAIMS TO HAVE ALIBI: REPORT

The Metropolitan Police of London told Fox News Digital that they have no new comment on the investigation.

"We continue to support colleagues in Germany with their investigation," the Met Police said.

In 2020, German police named convicted child abuser and drug dealer Christian Brueckner, 45, as a suspect in the 3-year-old's disappearance, though Brueckner, a German citizen, continues to deny involvement in the case.

Brueckner is currently serving time in a German prison for drug crimes. He also has a pending seven-year sentence connected to the 2005 rape of a 72-year-old American woman in Praia da Luz.

McCann's family is accepting donations for the search for Madeleine through their website, findmadeleine.com.
