Leftists Behind DNC Protests Include Several Anti-Semitic Groups

The leftist organizations behind the anti-Israel demonstrations at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week consist of an agglomeration of some of the most viciously anti-Semitic groups extant.

The number of demonstrators is expected to reach roughly 100,000 people.

“Many of the March on the DNC members have led and participated in antisemitic and pro-terror events since the Hamas-orchestrated October 7th massacre – including on U.S. campuses,” NGO Monitor reported, adding:

This includes CODEPINK, Palestinian Feminist Collective, Students for Justice in Palestine Chicago, American Muslims for Palestine Chicago, National Lawyers Guild -Task Force on the Americas/San Francisco Bay Area chapter, ANSWER Coalition – Chicago, Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, Jewish Voice for Peace Chicago, U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, U.S. Palestinian Community Network (USPCN), and National Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).

The members of the March on the DNC also include the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). On October 9, 2023, two days after the brutal Hamas massacre of more than 1200 people in Israel, AFSC published a fact sheet of “5 things you need to know about what’s happening in Israel and Gaza,” which stated, “Violence did not begin with the attacks from Gaza.”

Five days after the brutal Hamas massacre, SJP published a statement saying, “Today, we witness a historic win for the Palestinian resistance: across land, air, and sea, our people have broken down the artificial barriers of the Zionist entity … We must continue to resist directly through dismantling Zionism.”

“JVP (Jewish Voices for Peace) refers to itself as the ‘Jewish wing’ of the Palestinian solidarity movement and as ‘Jews against Zionism,’ notwithstanding the fact that many of its activists are not Jewish,” NGO Monitor noted, adding, “JVP’s declared agenda is to create ‘a wedge’ within the American Jewish community, while working toward the goal of eliminating U.S. economic, military, and political aid to Israel.”

Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network was designated a terrorist organization in February 2021 by the Israeli Ministry of Defense, which stated the group was  “a subsidiary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).” In November 2023, Germany banned Samidoun for violating its Basic Law (Article 9(2)) and its Associations Act, saying the group “impairs and endangers the peaceful coexistence of Germans and foreigners” and “advocates and calls for the use of violence as a means of enforcing political interests.”
