Senator Cruz Blasts CNN’s Dana Bash, Kamala Harris Over ‘Propaganda’ Set-Up

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris this week over the “softball” interview that she agreed to do with CNN in which she demanded that her vice presidential running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, be present.

Cruz said on his “Verdict” podcast this week that it was not even an interview, that it was “propaganda,” because the person hosting it, CNN’s Dana Bash, is a left-wing partisan.

“It is astonishing that the interview is not Kamala Harris, but it’s Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” he said. “And presumably, Tim Walz is sitting there so if that Kamala is screwing up, Tim Walz can step in and try to bail her out.”

“I have never seen in my life — I’m 10 years older than you are, I’m 53 — I have never once seen a presidential candidate who was so weak that he or she needed their vice presidential candidate as a safety blanket,” he continued. “That is bizarre.”

Cruz also slammed CNN for not airing the interview live and in its entirety.

“They’re going to pre-tape it, and then CNN is going to edit it,” he said. “And I believe, and I think many Americans believe, CNN is going to edit it so if and when Kamala says things that are dumb, if and when she says some word salad, if and when there’s a moment that’s bad, they’ll cut it right out.”

Cruz said that Bash would have to act like a real journalist during the interview, otherwise she will be viewed as “a laughingstock,” “a patsy,” “a spokesperson for the Kamala Harris campaign,” or “a total stooge.”

Days before the election, Democrats indicted Trump again.

Additionally, Mark Zuckerberg admitted that the Biden-Harris administration asked Facebook to censor Americans.

Kamala Harris Slammed Online For Being Unable To Do Interview By Herself

Vice President Kamala Harris faced widespread criticism this week over the conditions that were set for her to finally agree to be interviewed following a 40-day media blackout after becoming the Democratic Party’s de facto nominee last month.

Harris will be interviewed Thursday on CNN by leftist Dana Bash and she will be accompanied by her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

The interview will air at the same time that the first full slate of college football games kick off on Thursday night — 21 games total — after only a few were played over the weekend.

Harris faced mockery and criticism for her inability to do the interview by herself.

“I don’t know if Democrats fully realize how damaging the image of the possible first woman president being incapable of giving an interview alone without the presence of a man to help her is,” said Meghan McCain.

Former CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller posted on X: “Should CNN have insisted on a one-on-one interview with Harris and turned down a joint interview with Harris and Walz? Too tough to walk away from. But first question to Harris ought to be why should couldn’t appear solo.”

CNN political commentator Scott Jennings said that it was “incredibly weak” that Harris could not do the interview by herself and that it showed the party did not have confidence in her.

“The last time Harris did any kind of solo interview was when she was sent out as cannon fodder to explain Joe Biden’s debate performance that night,” said political commentator Stephen L. Miller. “She should probably have to explain why she lied to the country about Joe Biden’s condition.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) posted on X: “More than a month of preparation and negotiations for a *single* interview on a liberal network–and Kamala Harris can’t handle it by herself? How on earth can she stand up to Putin and Xi? She is dangerously unprepared to be president.”

Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer also questioned why Walz needed to be there.

“Is Harris afraid to stand on her own two feet? Does she need Walz to take half the questions so she talks less?” he asked. “After refusing to do any interviews and hiding for a month, Harris still won’t sit for a 1:1 interview. She is weak and not ready for the job.”
