Biden DHS Board: ‘Being In The Military Or Religious,’ Backing Trump Indicate ‘Extremists And Terrorism’

A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) advisory board said that being religious, having served in the military, or supporting former president Donald Trump are all markers of domestic extremists, according to documents obtained by America First Legal.

The legal nonprofit obtained documents from the since-disbanded Homeland Intelligence Experts Group through litigation and released the latest tranche of documents on Friday. America First Legal in conjunction with former ambassador Ric Grenell sued DHS over the board, which had included members such as former CIA director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Brennan and Clapper publicly pushed Russian collusion hoax conspiracies against Trump, and both former national security officials in October 2020 denied the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop, attributing it to likely Russian disinformation.

Notes from the defunct board say that researchers have identified “being in the military or religious” as a marker of domestic extremists. Trump supporters compose “most of the Domestic Terrorism threat,” the board suggested.

“If you ask researchers to dive into indicators of extremists and terrorism, they might indicate being in the military or religious. This being identified as an indicator suggests we should be more worried about these. We need the space to talk about it honestly,” notes from the board said.

“There is a political backdrop to all of this,” the notes said. “It seems that most of the Domestic Terrorism threat now comes from supporters of the former president. It is not like you want a political advantage, but people have attacked the government and its institutions for the last six years.”

America First Legal released the notes as part of its “#DeepStateDiaries” series on documents obtained from the Biden administration that reveal information about its inner workings. The legal nonprofit made its first release in the series on Thursday.

Gene Hamilton, executive director of American First Legal, called the revelations evidence of “unabashed partisanship” at Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ DHS and an effort to use the powers of the federal government against political opponents.

“These shocking records reveal apparent unabashed partisanship on this Deep State committee,” Hamilton told Fox News. “All efforts to weaponize the federal government against political opponents of the ruling regime should be stopped. We look forward to exposing more records in the coming days.”

White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates told Fox News that the White House does not consider Americans who identify as religious, served in the military, or support Trump to be a significant threat to the United States.

Biden Allows Iran To Run Voter Stations On U.S. Soil For The Islamic Republic’s Presidential Election: Report

President Joe Biden will allow the Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, to operate absentee voter stations on U.S. soil for the country’s upcoming presidential election.

Voice of America, a U.S.-state-owned news network and international radio broadcaster, reported that Iranian Foreign Ministry official Alireza Mahmoudi recently informed Iranian state media that the country is planning to set up dozens of ballot stations across the U.S.

The country claims that the U.S. accounts for 30% of Iran’s diaspora, the largest percentage of any country, the report said.

“The U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey estimates there are about half a million people born in Iran or of Iranian origin in the U.S., while the Iranian American nonprofit group National Union for Democracy in Iran, or NUFDI, says it has a higher estimate of more than 1 million,” the report said.

The U.S. State Department told the publication that it does not believe that Iran’s election will be legitimate as corruption is expected.

The Biden administration — which has been widely criticized for being exceptionally weak on foreign policy, especially when it comes to Iran — claimed that it was not a big deal to allow Iran to conduct elections on U.S. soil because it’s been done in the past.

Richard Goldberg, senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said that allowing Iran to continue running the elections on U.S. soil was “theater of the absurd.”

“How and why we would facilitate such a charade for a state sponsor of terrorism that is hunting Americans every day is beyond me,” said Goldberg, who worked in the Trump administration as director for Countering Iranian Weapons of Mass Destruction for the White House National Security Council. “He also questioned who would be operating Iran’s ballot stations in the U.S. and what relationship they have to the Iranian government.”

Iranian activist and actress Nazanin Boniadi, who lives in the U.K., responded to the move by Biden: “Preposterous. The concept of a free and fair election under the Islamic Republic is a fallacy.”

“While regime opponents are advocating for a boycott, the US inexplicably permits absentee ballots for this farce?” she added.
