Biden Stumbles Out Of The Gate During The Debate

President Joe Biden struggled from the moment that CNN’s presidential debate started on Thursday evening in the first official event in the rematch of the 2024 presidential election.

CNN’s Jake Tapper opened the debate by asking Biden about voters’ top concerns: the economy and inflation.

“What do you say to voters who feel they are worse off under your presidency than they were under President Trump?” Tapper asked.

Biden responded by blaming the former president for the coronavirus pandemic and claimed that the economy was in a “freefall” when he took over when, in reality, the economy had already shown strong signs of bouncing back before Biden was sworn into office and later passed a massive spending package that triggered the inflation crisis.

“The pandemic was so badly handled. Many people were dying,” Biden claimed, even though more people died during the pandemic under the Biden administration than during the Trump administration.

“All he said was it’s not that serious, just inject a little bleach in your arm,” Biden claimed. “You’ll be all right.”

He blamed his poor numbers on what he claimed Trump left him and “corporate greed” before claiming he lowered the cost of an insulin shot from $400 to $15.

Trump responded to Biden’s remarks by saying that when he was president, the U.S. had “the greatest economy in the history of our country,” a statement that was largely true prior to the pandemic.

“The only jobs he created are for illegal immigrants and bounce-back jobs, they’re bounced back from the COVID,” Trump said. “He has not done a good job. He has done a poor job. And inflation’s killing our country. It is absolutely killing us.”

‘One Of The Most Consequential’ Debates In American History: Daily Wire Hosts React To Trump-Biden Debate On ‘Backstage’

Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing said that the Thursday night presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden may end up being one of the most important debates in American history.

Boreing made the comments during Thursday night’s “Backstage” episode where Daily Wire hosts Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Andrew Klavan, and Michael Knowles reacted to the face-off between Trump and Biden hosted by CNN. Much of the focus of the analysis looked at Biden’s poor performance as he mumbled and appeared confused throughout.

“This may end up truly being one of the most consequential or the most consequential presidential debates in the history of the country,” Boreing said immediately after both Trump and Biden gave their closing arguments.

“We were all joking earlier about how Biden’s doctors administered narcotics to him, I now believe they practice necromancy. That was the closest to a dead person I’ve ever seen on TV,”  Knowles said, also commenting on Biden’s physical and mental performance.

“Biden can’t even finish his sentence. Trails off into nonsense. Never seen a presidential candidate freeze like that. A moment that will be remembered forever. And it’s only going to get worse for Biden from here,” Walsh said.

Shapiro said that Biden’s performance should lead Americans to ask more questions about how the White House was being run.

“This is the real question that we should all be asking and this should be asked from the top of rooftops from now until the end of time. For three years, the media and the Democratic Party have been lying to you. This man is senile, he is obviously senile, he is obviously addled, and someone else is President of the United States, and it is not Joe Biden. Who is the person that is President of the United States?”

The hosts also praised Trump for his performance during the debate, saying that he “clocked” Biden on issues from immigration to inflation. Trump consistently brought up the millions of illegal immigrants who have entered the country under Biden.

“The other thing about Trump that I have been saying for years, and no one will believe this, but it’s true, is he learns stuff, more than other people his age and more than most politicians,” Klavan said.

Following the debate, reports quickly emerged that top Democratic strategists were panicking over Biden’s debate performance. The next debate is scheduled for September.
