Jake Paul Vs. Mike Tyson Live Fight Postponed After Medical Scare

The highly anticipated July fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been posted to a later date after Tyson suffered a medical scare on a flight last weekend from Miami to Los Angeles that required a response from health officials.

“During a follow up consultation on Thursday with medical professionals on his recent ulcer flare up, the recommendation is for Mike Tyson to do minimal to light training over the next few weeks and then return to full training with no limitations,” Most Valuable Promotions said in a statement.

“Both Mike and Jake are in agreement that it is only fair to ensure that both athletes have equal training time to prepare for this important match and are able to compete at the highest level,” the statement continued.

The company said that it expects Tyson to return to his regular training regimen in the coming weeks as it looks to reschedule the fight at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

“I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flare-up, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover,” Tyson said. “My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon. Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good. I appreciate everyone’s patience and can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year.”

Paul said that he “fully support[s] postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses come fight night.”

“My fans know I don’t want to face Iron Mike at anything but his best, but let there be no mistake — when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish,” he said. “Paul vs. Tyson will be one for the ages, and I promise to bring my best for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup.”

Tyson suffered the health episode on an American Airlines flight that was delayed for hours due to overheating issues.

“Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded,” an eyewitness told In Touch Weekly. “Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor — the message even came on everyone’s screens.”

The eyewitness said that there was “a lot of buzz” when Tyson arrived at the gate as many people recognized him and he took pictures with people.

“He was very accommodating and then he was escorted away from the gate because the flight was delayed because the gate person said that the plane was too hot because it had been sitting all day and had to cool down,” the eyewitness said.

The report said that about 30 minutes before the flight landed, a message was broadcast to passengers asking if there were any medical professionals on board because a passenger was having an emergency.

Once the flight landed, passengers were delayed in getting off the plane for about half an hour so paramedics could board the plane and assist Tyson.

“He was in first class, but we were an exit row,” the eyewitness continues. “They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter. [The stewardess] said something like, ‘He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s OK.’ I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded her head yes.”

A spokesperson for Tyson said in a statement that the 57-year-old was “doing great” and that he “became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”

Billionaire Bill Ackman, A Longtime Democrat, Likely To Back Trump Over Biden: Report

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman is reportedly leaning toward backing former President Donald Trump over President Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election.

The Financial Times reported that Ackman — who has given heavily to Democrats in the past — is likely to make his endorsement of Trump on X in the near future.

Those close to Ackman told the publication that his “dislike for Biden far outweighed his ambivalence for Trump.”

Ackman, 58, signaled his support for Trump following the guilty verdict that the jury returned on Thursday in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office’s highly controversial criminal case against Trump, which top legal experts have said was purely political persecution.

He commented on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ reaction to the verdict in the case, writing: “I think any objective person would have to agree with @GovRonDeSantis here.”

“Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to ‘get’ Donald Trump,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who was Trump’s top challenger during the Republican Party primaries earlier this year.

“That this case—involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations from nearly a decade ago—was even brought is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City,” he continued. “This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction.”

“It is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law. If the defendant were not Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict,” he concluded. “In America, the rule of law should be applied in a dispassionate, even-handed manner, not become captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court.”
