Twitter User’s ‘Sun Burn’ Prompts Gross Confession From Enraged Bette Midler

Bette Midler lost her temper and grossed out the internet this week over a snarky retort to her tweet calling for more use of solar energy.

The “Rose” singer and actress tweeted out a graphic with a painting of the sun and the message: “If God wanted us to have free, unlimited clean energy, he would have given us a giant fusion reactor in the sky.” The pie-in-the-sky post prompted a hypocrisy roast from one Twitter user that enraged the entertainer, who turned 77 on Thursday.

“Bette is so worried about this that she abandoned her house, car, stopped flying and gave up on all modern conveniences and now lives in a solar powered hut in the forest,” tweeted a user who goes by Bookshelf Q. Battler. “What a great example she set for the rest of us. Three cheers for Bette!”

Midler, a hardcore leftist with a Twitter following of over 2 million, didn’t appreciate the retort and replied with a two-Tweet retort.

“If you knew what I have done to mitigate the criminal environmental craziness in this country, you would kiss my ass,” she wrote. “I have done my part, and I have done YOUR part. I have done geothermal, solar, hybrid, electric cars, composting, recycling, I bathe once a month! F**k you!”

“In addition, I have saved parks, built parks, cleaned parks, sent kids to schools, taught them how to play music, honored nature by giving people actual LAND to grow their own food and find peace and serenity in nature,” she added. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE BESIDES SLAG ME?”

Midler’s fans reacted with a vengeance, citing the former star’s long record of activism. But others seemed unable to get past the revelation that Midler bathes just a dozen times per year.

“What a stank witch,” wrote one.

“Bette Midler says “I bathe (=bath) once a month,” wrote another.  “Well, each to his own. Personally I prefer to shower. Every day.”

Last month, Midler blasted women who support former President Trump ahead of the midterm elections.

“Hey MAGA women, if you want a country run by men and religion, move to Iran,” Midler’s tweet read.

Twitter users reacted angrily, calling the “Hocus Pocus” star out as a “bully,” “hateful,” “sexist,” and more.

Florida Man Stabs His Own Mother To Death ‘Because She Never Pushed Me To Be A Man’

A Florida man allegedly killed his own mother because she never “pushed” him to “be a man.”

The Osceola County, Florida, Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a possible stabbing in the city of Kissimmee just after 4 p.m. local time on Tuesday. Upon arriving at the residence, police found a woman dead, and another woman with severe lacerations on her hands. Police later arrested the suspect, who confessed to stabbing his mother to death.

“On November 29, 2022, at approximately 4:13 PM, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible stabbing at a residence in Kissimmee,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement on Facebook. “Upon arrival, it was determined that one female was deceased, and another female had severe lacerations to her hands.”

A motion for pre-trial detention from Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit Court, obtained by NBC News, revealed that the suspect’s sister was the one who was injured.

“The victim heard their mother screaming for her life,” the documents stated. “When the victim came out of her room, she observed the defendant stabbing their mother multiple times with a kitchen knife,” the motion said. “The victim attempted to intervene and sustained multiple deep lacerations to her hands from the defendant cutting her.”

Shortly after police arrived on the scene, they located the suspect, identified as Matthew Stewart Sisley, a short distance away from the home. The suspect was taken to the Sheriff’s Office, where he confessed to intentionally stabbing his mother and accidentally stabbing his sister.

The sheriff’s office released a partial transcript of the interview:

Detective: “Do you think your mom deserved to get stabbed?”

Suspect: “Yes.”

Detective: “Why?”

Suspect: “Because she never pushed me to be a man.”

Detective: “Do you regret doing it?”

Suspect: “No. I would do it again.”

Police went on to state that the suspect had been booked into the Osceola County Jail on the charge of domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Additional charges would follow.

NBC News reported that as of Friday, the suspect was still in jail; an additional charge of premeditated murder had been added to his record. The suspect’s bond was set at $0; prosecutors in the motion for pre-trial detention had asked the court to hold the suspect without bail, NBC News added.

Elsewhere in Florida, a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officer saved the life of an infant drowning in a retention pond in June. Video posted by the JSO on Facebook showed Officer Me’Atia Sanderson rushing to help the child, pulling him out of the water, then performing CPR until paramedics arrived.

“As a patrol officer in Zone 4 (Westside), Ofc. Sanderson was working on June 9th of this year when JSO and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department were dispatched to an infant drowning in a retention pond,” the office captioned the video. “Sanderson was the first to arrive on scene and was alerted that the infant was still in the water. Ofc. Sanderson, who does not know how to swim herself, without a second’s hesitation, entered the pond to retrieve the child and performed CPR until she was relieved by other responding officers. Her actions, while putting her own life at risk, undoubtedly saved the child’s life.”
