Elise Stefanik Blisters Biden In RNC Speech: ‘The Soul Of Our Very Nation’ Is On The Ballot

GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York blasted President Joe Biden’s record in short remarks at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday evening.

Stefanik, the chair of the House Republican Conference, emphasized the importance of November’s election as a battle for the “Constitution and the soul of our very nation.” She ripped Biden’s record from immigration, to the economy, to foreign affairs and national security.

“Under Joe Biden, the American people have suffered crisis after crisis. From the Biden border, the most wide-open border in our nation’s history, to Bidenflation, the highest rate of inflation in my lifetime, devastating hardworking families with skyrocketing prices for groceries, gas, and utilities,” Stefanik said.

“To Biden’s violent crime crisis fueled by Democrats’ pro-criminal sanctuary cities, and defund-the-police policies like we have seen in my home state of New York – all while corrupt Democrat prosecutors and judges wage illegal and unconstitutional lawfare against President Trump in an effort to do Joe Biden’s political bidding,” she continued.

She then pivoted to foreign policy, citing the Afghanistan withdrawal during which 13 U.S. service members died in a terrorist attack alongside dozens of Afghans. The U.S. pulled out of Afghanistan on short notice, leaving behind hundreds of American citizens and thousands of Afghanistan allies who worked with U.S. military personnel against the Taliban, the terror group that blitzed across Afghanistan and took over the country as the U.S. withdrew.

“Around the world the feckless and failed Joe Biden has caused chaos, weakening our national security: from the catastrophic withdrawal of Afghanistan to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine to Hamas’ terrorist attack against our most precious ally, Israel,” Stefanik said.

The GOP conference chair urged Americans to vote for former president Donald Trump in November.

“President Trump will bring back moral leadership to the White House, condemning anti-Semitism and standing strong with Israel and the Jewish people,” Stefanik said after condemning the “radical Left” for openly supporting Hamas and threatening Jews across college campuses.

Stefanik praised Trump’s economic policies, as well as his foreign policy for strengthening relationships with allies such as Israel and containing conflict across the globe.

“President Trump has done it before and he will do it again,” Stefanik said.

Man Wearing Ski Mask With AK-47 Arrested Outside The Republican National Convention: Report

A man wearing a ski mask who was armed with an AK-47 was arrested near the Republican National Convention this week as he approached the perimeter of the event, police revealed in a statement Tuesday evening.

Homeland Security Investigators and Capitol Police were surveilling the area on Monday, which comes just days after former President Donald Trump was shot during an assassination attempt, when they noticed a suspicious man approaching, Fox News reported.

The man was carrying a tactical bag that had an AK-47 and ammunition inside, the report said. It’s not clear what he was planning to do.

“Milwaukee Police arrested a 21-year-old man for carrying a concealed weapon on July 15, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., on the 1200 block of N. 11th Street,” the Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement. “United States Capitol Police initially observed the suspect looking suspicious, wearing a ski mask and a large tactical backpack in the street.”

“United States Capitol Police performed a subject stop, and it was determined that the suspect was concealing a firearm in his backpack,” the statement added. “The suspect does not have a legal CCW permit in Wisconsin or any other state. The suspect was arrested, and charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.”
