Kate And William Team ‘Sickened’ By Images In Harry And Meghan’s Netflix Doc, Royal Expert Says

Close friends of Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly “sickened” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s Netflix documentary trailer, which was notably released during the former couple’s trip to America.

Critics accuse the former royals of painting William and Kate as cold and adversarial to Harry and Meghan, who are portrayed as madly in love and scared for their well-being. In particular, one photo of a stony-looking Kate shown in the trailer is angering allies of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

“I was appalled when I watched this trailer, frankly, It’s everything we feared, it really is,” royal expert Richard Eden told The Daily Mail. “I’ve heard from Friends of Prince William and Catherine today, and they’ve been frankly sickened by what’s appeared in this video. The use of William and Catherine and the image and the way it’s presented, my goodness.”

Eden noted the photo was juxtaposed with footage of Meghan crying.

“Remember, this is a service that Omid Scobie, Meghan’s cheerleader, wrote about,” he explained. “He (Scobie) said that Harry and Meghan had been left, that William and Catherine had refused to make even eye contact with them that day and this seems to be referring to that.”

Friends of William and Kate believe the team behind the documentary “seem to have gone to great lengths to find the one unflattering image of Catherine for this trailer.”

“I mean come on, Meghan is meant to have given up acting but she seems to be back acting again for this reality show or documentary series,” Eden slammed. “We don’t just see her in tears at one point. That’s not enough: not one single tear dripping down her cheek.”

Eden added that Markle made it a point to “emphasize these tears.”

“No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors,” Harry says in the trailer, while Meghan claims they had to tell their “story” because the “stakes are this high.”

“At its core, their relationship looks like many others: They met, had a whirlwind romance, fell in love, got married, had children, and built a life based on shared values and mutual support of each other’s work and ambitions,” the Netflix blurb describes the “Harry & Meghan” project. “But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no ordinary couple. Theirs is one of the most high-profile love stories in history, and even the most plugged-in fans and followers of their story have never heard it told like this before.”

Others have slammed the timing of the documentary.

“Very clear now that Prince Harry & Meghan Markle are intent on destroying the Royal Family,” Piers Morgan asserted. “You can agree with them or think, as I do, that they’re repulsive narcissistic hypocrites, but their agenda is now indisputable & constitutes an existential threat to the British Monarchy.”

Iranian Athlete Bucked Hijab During International Competition, Then Her Family Home Was Demolished

Iranian state media over the weekend announced that the family home of rock climber Elnaz Rekabi had been demolished, just months after the female athlete participated in an international competition without her hijab.

Rekabi, 33, later apologized for not wearing her state-mandated head covering, but the moment was perceived as a protest against her government following the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman arrested by the morality police who then died while in their custody.

Footage reportedly shows a demolished home with medals on the ground, according to CNN. The athlete’s brother Davood, a champion rock climber himself, is crying in the video.

“This is the result of living in this country,” an unknown man capturing the footage says. “A country’s champion with kilos of medals for this country. Worked hard to make this country proud. They pepper sprayed him and demolished a 39 sqm house and left. What can I say?”

Following what many interpreted as a protest, Rekabi took to social media to say that she forgot to put on her head covering and apologized. However, anti-government groups say the young woman was forced into the backtrack over safety concerns.

“Due to inappropriate timing, and an unpredictable call for me to climb the wall, there was accidentally a problem with my head cover,” Rekabi reportedly wrote.

The 33-year-old added that she flew back to Iran “according to the pre-arranged schedule,” addressing concerns over her safety after the competition.

Iranian journalist and activist Masih Alinejad responded online, “This is an act of terror; forced confession.”

“Elnaz Rekabi refused forced hijab while competing in Seoul,” she tweeted. “Her phone & passport was confiscated by Islamic Republic, [s]he has gone missing, Elnaz returned to Iran & announced: not wearing hijab was not intentional.”

After months of protest, a top official in Iran reportedly declared the abolition of the state’s morality police, The Daily Wire reported over the weekend.

Attorney General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri announced the decision at a religious conference on Sunday when asked if the morality police, tasked with enforcing Iran’s Islamic dress code, would be disbanded, according to BBC Persian. Iranian state media outlets reported the news late Saturday night.

“The morality police had nothing to do with the judiciary and have been shut down from where they were set up,” he said.

The report stressed that control of the force sits within the jurisdiction of the interior ministry, and other agencies have not confirmed the fate of the morality police.

Daniel Chaitin contributed to this report.
