Herschel Walker Torches Obama After Former President Takes A Shot At Him: He ‘Needs To Sit This One Out’

Georgia U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker (R) slammed former President Barack Obama (D) late this week after the former president said that Walker was not fit for office.

Obama made the remarks during a stump speech Friday for U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), who is trailing Walker in the polls for the upcoming election, saying that Walker is a “celebrity that wants to be a politician.”

“Now there are a lot of young people here, yes, that makes me excited. Some of you may not remember, but Herschel Walker was a heck of a football player,” Obama said. “In college, he was amazing. One of the best running backs of all time. But here is the question: Does that make him the best person to represent you in the U.S. Senate? Does that make him equipped to weigh in on the critical decisions about our economy and our foreign policy and our future?”

“By the way, the opposite is true, too. You may have liked me as president, but you wouldn’t want me starting at tailback by the dogs,” he said. “I mean, can you imagine my slow, old skinny behind getting hit by some 300 pound defensive tackle who runs a 4.6 40 (yard dash)? You would have to scrape me off the field. No, I can’t. No, I can’t. I am good at a lot of things, but that would not be one of those things that I am good at.”

Walker responded to Obama’s remarks while on the campaign trail Saturday morning, saying that Obama needed to “sit this one out.”

“President Obama was here last night. He said I’m a celebrity. He got that one wrong, didn’t he? I’m not a celebrity, I’m a warrior for God,” Walker said. “He got something else wrong, too. Remember two years ago, he told us to vote for Joe Biden, didn’t he? He got that one wrong, did he not? He’s lost twice to Georgia already, hasn’t he, so I think he probably needs to sit this one out.”

“I’m sorry to tell former President Obama, I’m sorry, I’m gonna pray for him,” Walker added. “I’m gonna pray for him because he needs some help. He needs some help because he got with the wrong horse. Senator Warnock is the wrong horse. You know he can’t do the job, and it’s time for him to leave. So don’t let the door hit your butt as you walk out of there.”

School Superintendent Said Thin Blue Line Flag Was No Longer Allowed On Sideline. High School Football Players Displayed It Anyway.

A California district superintendent recently announced that a high school football team was no longer allowed to display the Thin Blue Line at its games, but that didn’t stop Saugus High School players.

When most of the team ran onto the field Friday night, the tradition of the Thin Blue Line Flag was absent. Two players then came onto the field carrying an American flag and a Thin Blue Line flag, even after Superintendent Mike Kuhlman announced they weren’t allowed to show the flag supporting law enforcement, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Signal.

According to the local news report, Kuhlman announced the decision to ban the team from displaying the flag without the Hart District School Board hearing the issue. The district reportedly received complaints about Saugus High School players carrying the flag onto the field before games because people found it divisive.

According to Kuhlman’s letter explaining the decision, the head football coach was the one who made the decision to stop the tradition of carrying the Thin Blue Line flag onto the field.

“Given that some individuals have expressed concern that they interpret the Thin Blue Line flag to be divisive, it occurred to (the coach) that it’s possible that some players on the team might not be entirely enthusiastic about a symbol that is being used to represent the entire team,” Kuhlman wrote, Fox News reported.

“In deference to his commitment to inclusivity, kindness and respect (just loving people), and because the team never voted as a unit to carry this banner, Coach decided to discontinue this practice,” Kuhlman added.

Saugus defeated Golden Valley 31-13 Friday, giving them eight wins to their two losses on the season.
