RFK Jr. Explains Why He Decided To Drop Out, Endorse Trump

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s rally in Arizona on Friday night where he explained why he decided to endorse the former president.

Kennedy’s remarks came after he announced earlier in the day that he was suspending his campaign and being removed from the ballot in swing states because he did not want to help Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris by staying in the race.

He said that he got a call from Trump on the night that Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, by a would-be assassin.

“We had a very good talk, and then he invited me to come see him the next day, and I went to Minneapolis and saw him,” he said. “We met again a couple of weeks later in Florida, and we talked not about the things that separate us because we don’t agree on everything, but on the values and the issues that bind us together. And one of the issues that he talked about was having safe food and ending the chronic disease epidemic.”

“Our children are now the unhealthiest, sickest children in the world,” he continued. “Don’t you want healthy children? And don’t you want the chemicals out of our food? And don’t you want the regulatory agencies to be free from corporate corruption? And that’s what President Trump told me that he wanted.”

Kennedy said that Trump signaled he wanted to end censorship from the political Left in the U.S.

“We know that a government that can silence its opponents has license for any kind of atrocity,” he said. “And can you think of any time that you can look back in history and say that the people who were censoring were the good guys? They’re always the bad guys, because it’s always the first step down that slippery slope to totalitarianism.”

RFK Jr. said that Trump would “protect America’s freedoms” and “make America healthy again.”

Trump Introduces RFK Jr. At Rally, Announces Creation Of New Presidential Commission

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump introduced Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at his rally in Arizona on Friday just a couple of hours after RFK Jr. announced he was suspending his campaign and endorsing Trump.

Kennedy walked out on stage to a roaring crowd and fireworks while Foo Fighters’ “My Hero” blasted through the arena like a rock concert.

“Tonight, I am very pleased to welcome a man who has been an incredible champion for so many of these values we all share,” Trump said. “For the past 16 months, Robert F. Kennedy Junior has run an extraordinary campaign for President of the United States. Had he been allowed to enter the Democrat primary, he would have beaten Joe Biden.”

“His candidacy has inspired millions of Americans, raised critical issues that have been too-long ignored, and brought together people from across the political spectrum in a positive campaign grounded in the American values of his father, Robert Kennedy, and his uncle, President Kennedy,” he added. “I believe they would both be very proud.”

While introducing RFK Jr., Trump said that Kennedy called him after he was shot during an assassination attempt last month.

“He knows firsthand the risks incurred by leaders who stand up to the corrupt political establishment—he lost his father and uncle in service to our country, and Bobby himself was subject to repeated threats to his safety during the course of his campaign, while being denied protection by the Harris-Biden administration,” Trump said.

Trump announced that in honor of Bobby, he would create a new commission to investigate and release information about presidential assassination attempts.

“In honor of Bobby, I am announcing tonight that upon my election, I will establish a new independent presidential commission on Assassination Attempts,” he said. “They will be tasked with releasing all remaining documents pertaining to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination and other events in question, and they also will conduct a rigorous review of the attack last month in Butler.”
