Joe Biden’s Disastrous Gun Control Speech, One Whopper At A Time

President Joe Biden delivered remarks on Tuesday at gun control advocacy group Everytown’s annual conference, Gun Sense University — and as is often the case when Biden speaks about guns, critics were quick to point out a series of factual errors.

Biden’s comments, which came within hours of his embattled son Hunter Biden’s conviction on several gun-related felonies, included a few of his oft-repeated — and already debunked — claims, in addition to a few new additions.

Greg Price noted several mistakes that Biden whipped through in under a minute — from debunked claims about his alleged history as a professor to the assertion that the Second Amendment was written in a time when individuals were not permitted to own cannons.

“Joe Biden in less than a minute,” Price began, adding, “Claims he was a professor at Penn, which he never was; Claims he taught a constitutional law class on the second amendment, which he never did; Says that you couldn’t own a cannon when 2A was implemented, which you could; And ends by failing miserably to say the phrase ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots.'”

Joe Biden in less than a minute:

“There has never been a time that says you could own anything you want. Never. You couldn’t own a cannon during the Civil War. No, I’m serious. Think about it,” Biden said — but as the New York Post reported, the few laws passed regarding cannons during the 19th century were primarily focused on “limiting where they could be discharged, restricting the sale of the weapon to children and regulating how gunpowder could be stored.”

It is still legal to own Civil War era cannons in the United States.

And as for the late President Thomas Jefferson’s quote — “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants” — Biden’s version was as follows: “How much have you heard this phrase, ‘the blood of liberty … washes those’ – give me a break.”

GunOwners of America added a few more infractions to Price’s list:

“Oh don’t forget @JoeBiden also: Said Americans would need F-15s to resist his tyrannical government (You wouldn’t); Claimed the firearm industry is the only industry with immunity (They aren’t); Claimed that guns kill more children than car accidents and cancer combined (They don’t); Got the name of the federal agency responsible for gun control wrong (AFT).”

Biden also repeated his call to ban “assault weapons,” saying that he did not understand who needed a magazine that could “hold 200 shells.”

Biden (again) calls for a ban on “assault weapons,” which he later calls “weapons of war.”

As Biden spoke, he was briefly interrupted by a pro-Palestinian protester who accused him of being “complicit in a genocide” because he has continued to support Israel in its ongoing war against Hamas terrorists.

Fitness Center Internal Memo Labels Pride/BLM Symbols ‘Freedom Of Expression,’ Bans US Flag Except For Holidays

An internal memo from the 24 Hour Fitness Center labels Black Lives Matter and Pride Symbols “freedom of expression” while banning patriotic items like the American flag, except for holidays.

In the letter obtained by Libs Of TikTok, it informs employees that the fitness company is committed to “creating a more inclusive environment” before it details what is and is not allowed.

The memo said it encourages employees to “bring their full selves to work everyday” and then lists that “team members” can wear apparel that shows their “solidarity and support” for the following movements.

“Black Lives Matter/BLM words.” “‘Pride’ and or pride rainbow logo.” “Juneteenth logo, symbol or date on Juneteenth (June 19).” “[US] Flag or United States logo” on federal holidays like Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Veterans Day, Patriots Day, etc.”

The leaked memo details come as Americans are being inundated all month long by corporate America from LGBTQ activists about embracing Pride.

HOLY SHLIT. Internal memo from 24 hour fitness @24hourfitness advises that BLM and pride symbols are always approved forms of “freedom of expression” but the American Flag and US logos are only allowed to be worn on Holidays.

Last year, Target faced a massive backlash when it put its June “Pride” merchandise like “tuck-friendly” female swimsuits front and center in the store.  This year the retail store has decided it will tamp back the LGBTQ push after it faced boycotts and sinking sales.

The retailer told the Associated Press that only a limited number of its stores would be carrying special LGBT-themed merchandise in June. The store said the merchandise would only be available in select markets, based on “guest insights and consumer research.”

Despite the pullback, the store said that it still maintained that it fully supported the LGBT movement.

“Target is committed to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Month and year-round,” Target said. “Most importantly, we want to create a welcoming and supportive environment for our LGBTQIA+ team members, which reflects our culture of care for the over 400,000 people who work at Target.”

Last year, merchandise that was part of the store’s Pride collection, like “extra crotch coverage” female swimsuits and Pride-themed onesies, spurred calls for boycotts of Target, leading to declining sales and stock prices. Its sales plummeted during the second quarter, after the backlash started, and fell for the first time in six years, falling 5.4% compared to the same period last year. Online sales fell nearly twice as much, 10.5%, Target said.
