CNN Debate: Biden Falsely Claims No U.S. Troops Died Under His Watch

President Joe Biden falsely claimed during the CNN debate against former President Donald Trump on Thursday no U.S. troops have died under his watch.

“Truth is, I’m the only president this century that doesn’t have any — this, this decade — that doesn’t have any troops dying anywhere in the world,” Biden said during the first hour of the face-off.

BIDEN: “The truth is, I’m the only president this century…this decade that doesn’t have any troops dying anywhere in the world like he did.”

People on social media rebuked Biden for the falsehood, with many noting how the statement ignores the fact that 13 U.S. service members were killed in a suicide bombing attack on the airport in Kabul during the 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

“President Biden’s memory is worse than we thought,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who added later, “The American people will never forget the horrible withdrawal from Afghanistan that claimed the lives of 13 heroes under his watch.”

Reporter Jim Laporta responded to Biden, saying, “This is not true, at least 16 service members have died under the Biden admin overseas.”

And CNN’s fact-checker Daniel Dale said Biden’s claim “is false, clearly.”

Illegal Alien Murders 2 Workers At Chick-Fil-A: Police

Police in Texas arrested an illegal alien on Thursday who they say murdered two people inside a Chick-fil-A restaurant this week.

Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, was booked into a jail in Irving early on Thursday morning after the shooting on Wednesday.

Argueta is an illegal alien from El Salvador, one of the most violent countries in the world with a notorious problem with hyper-violent criminal street gangs.

The suspect allegedly murdered the two victims at a restaurant located in the Los Colinas neighborhood, police said.

The suspect’s wife reportedly worked at the restaurant as did the two victims, one of whom was identified as 49-year-old Patricia Portillo. The other victim, a male, was not identified.

“Our investigators have received information to lead them to believe this is a targeted incident and not a random act of violence,” said Irving Police Officer Anthony Alexander.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesperson said that the agency’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Dallas has “lodged an immigration detainer with the Irving Police Department on Mendoza.”

ICE only lodges a detainer request against someone if they are illegally inside in the U.S.

“Our hearts are broken by the tragedy that unfolded inside our restaurant Wednesday. We will miss our two Team Members dearly,” Chick-fil-A said in a statement. “Right now, our focus is on providing care for our Team and the victims’ families.”

“I want to thank the Irving Police Department for their professionalism and compassion,” the statement continued. “We will continue working closely with them as they conduct their investigation.”
