FBI Raids Home Of Far-Left Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao

Federal law enforcement officials raided the home of Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, a Democrat, on Thursday morning, according to reports and video of agents at the home.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that several other properties that were raided were “connected to a politically influential family that runs the city’s curbside recycling program.”

More than a dozen agents entered the home and removed a variety of items from the search, including paper boxes, clipboards, and large plastic tubs.

The report said that the other warrants were served at the homes of David Duong, the president and CEO of recycling company Cal Waste Solutions, his son Andy Duong, and their company offices.

“The FBI is conducting court authorized law enforcement activity on Maiden Lane,” the FBI said in a statement. “We are unable to provide additional information at this time.”

Investigative reporter Dan Noyes said that law enforcement sources told him the raid was part of a “public corruption investigation of Thao and her boyfriend.”

Noyes added that the investigation also reportedly involves the IRS and the U.S. Postal Service.

Coincidence — as I’m leaving Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao’s house after the FBI raid, I saw this truck from California Waste Solutions nearby. We also saw FBI at that company’s offices, and at Andy Duong’s home, whose family owns Cal Waste. You may recall that Duong funded Thao’s… pic.twitter.com/ffJWUfEPea

The news comes as multiple Democrats have found themselves caught up in federal criminal investigations in recent months, including Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), and Hunter Biden. Federal law enforcement officials have also seized devices from New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) and raided properties tied to George Soros-backed District Attorney Jody Owens.

Rapper Travis Scott Arrested In Miami Beach

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on Thursday for disorderly intoxication and trespassing property after yelling at people on a yacht.

According to Miami Beach Police, the 33-year-old rapper — born Jacques Bermon Webster — was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in the early morning hours on Thursday with his bonds set at $500 and $150, WSVN 7 in Miami reported.

Police said when they arrived at Miami Beach marina, officers saw Scott yelling at occupants of a vessel and that they smelled a strong scent of “alcohol coming from the defendant’s breath,”  NBC News reported.

At first, Scott complied with officers when they instructed him to sit down, but then he got up and continued. Police then instructed him to leave the area or risk being arrested. He left, but while walking away, he yelled “obscenities to the occupants of the vessel,” a Miami Beach Police arrest affidavit read.

However, a short time later, he returned to the marina and headed back to the yacht, before officers caught up with him.

Scott is reported as speaking to one sergeant and “becoming erratic” and “disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings causing public disturbance,” the arrest affidavit added, before he was taken into custody.

“Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding,” his legal rep Bradford Cohen told NBC News. “There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution.”

Later, Scott took to X and wrote about his arrest, noting his upcoming European tour.

“6 days to circus Maximus tour,” the rapper wrote. “For the record I’m going. Ham.”

The rapper also posted on his Instagram story about the arrest, including a picture of his mugshot and a second post using his mugshot but edited to include him wearing headphones and sunglasses.

He’s since been released from jail, WSVN noted. No word yet on whether he will need to appear in court to deal with the charges.

Scott shares two children with “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star Kylie Jenner: Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2. The two are no longer together.
