FBI Confirms Trump Was Struck By A Bullet

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed on Friday that former President Donald Trump was, in fact, struck in the head by a bullet during an assassination attempt two weeks ago.

“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle,” the FBI said in an official statement.

The Bureau’s statement comes after FBI Director Christopher Wray sparked intense controversy this week when he falsely suggested that something other than a bullet may have struck Trump.

Wray told the House Judiciary Committee that it was not clear what hit Trump, that there was “some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear.”

The New York Times conducted a thorough video, audio, and trajectory analysis this week that found that Trump was hit by a bullet and not any kind of debris.

Forensic experts confirmed that the viral photo that captured a bullet passing by Trump’s head, after it struck his ear, was the first shot that was fired.

A remarkable photo captured by my former White House Press Corps colleague Doug Mills.

“He flinches, and his right hand already starts reaching for his right ear during that time between the first audible shot and the second audible shot,” said Rob Maher, an audio forensics expert at Montana State University.

As Trump pulled his hand away from his ear, blood can be seen on it, indicating that the bullet that missed his head by only fractions of an inch did, in fact, strike Trump’s ear.

Photographs following the shooting that that were taken over the rally site in Pennsylvania showed that the 20-year-old would-be assassin had a clear line of site at the former president and that there was nothing impeding his line of fire.

Harvey Weinstein Hospitalized For Several Health Reasons

Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has been hospitalized for what his representative called a “myriad of health conditions” as he awaits his next sexual assault trial.

The 72-year-old former Hollywood mogul — who’s been in prison since a New York jury convicted him of sexual assault, before it was overturned this year — was taken back to Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward where he tested positive for COVID and contracted double pneumonia in his lungs, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

His rep and prison consultant Craig Rothfeld said in a statement that Weinstein was treated for a “myriad of health conditions” that still affect him “on a daily basis such as diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, fluid on his heart and lungs, and various other conditions.”

“We continue to express our gratitude to the officers, doctors and nurses at DOCS, CHS, and NYC H+H who saw to it that Mr. Weinstein was immediately transferred to the Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward and will continue working hand in hand with them to ensure Mr. Weinstein receives proper medical treatment,” Weinstein’s rep added.

Weinstein has been in prison since a jury convicted him of rape in his New York sexual assault trial. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison. However, in April, the New York Court of Appeals overturned Weinstein’s rape verdict and a new trial date has been tentatively set for November, the outlet noted.

The decision to overturn the 2020 rape conviction of Weinstein was due to the fact that the court failed to give the disgraced movie mogul a fair trial by allowing allegations from accusers not connected to the charges against him to testify, as previously reported.

Following the appeals court announcement, the Silence Breakers, a group of Weinstein survivors, released a statement about the “unjust” decision.

“The news today is not only disheartening, but it’s profoundly unjust,” the statement read. “But this ruling does not diminish the validity of our experiences or our truth; it’s merely a setback. The man found guilty continues to serve time in a California prison. When survivors everywhere broke their silence in 2017, the world changed. We continue to stand strong and advocate for that change…”

Weinstein was also convicted in 2022 by a jury in Los Angeles of sexual assault. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison. He has since filed an appeal.
