Pope Francis Reportedly Opposes Gay Men In Priesthood: There’s ‘Fa***tness In The Vatican’

Pope Francis reportedly expressed his opposition to gay men becoming priests during a meeting with Roman priests this week, which comes only a couple weeks after he made similar remarks during a closed-door meeting.

Francis, 87, reportedly said that “there is an air of frociaggine in the Vatican” and that those who are gay should not be admitted into seminaries. According to the Washington Post, the word “frociaggine” roughly translates to “fa***tness” in the Roman Italian dialect.

The Post reported that Francis made the remarks while meeting with approximately 200 priests at Rome’s Salesian Pontifical University.

While speaking about the “danger of ideologies in the Church”,  he reportedly “reiterated the need to welcome and accompany gay men in the Church” but indicated they should not be allowed into priesthood.

Francis made nearly identical remarks during a private address to Catholic bishops in May while railing against the number of gay priests who were in training.

He reportedly made the remarks in the context of proposals from Italian bishops about changes they want to see in guidelines determining the candidates that seminaries accept.

He reportedly said that he was opposed to letting in candidates who were leading a “double life” by claiming to be celibate while secretly being gay, The Telegraph reported.

He said that there was “already too much fa***try” in seminaries, according to numerous translations of his speech, which was in Italian.

CNN noted that Francis in 2016 upheld the Vatican’s ruling in 2005 that the Catholic church cannot allow the ordination of gay men. In 2018, he told Italian bishops “not to accept gay candidates for the priesthood,” the report added.

However, the Vatican backtracked on his comments late last month after they were leaked to the press and some backlash ensued online.

“The Pope never intended to offend or express himself in homophobic terms, and he extends his apologies to those who felt offended by the use of a term, as reported by others,” the Vatican said in a May statement. “As he (Pope Francis) has said on several occasions, ‘in the Church there is room for everyone, everyone! No one is useless, no one is superfluous, there is room for everyone. Just as we are, everyone.’”

Kevin Spacey Cries About Being Broke Following Sex Abuse Lawsuits, Denies Links To Epstein

Actor Kevin Spacey became emotional during an interview with British TV personality Piers Morgan, saying he was broke and owed millions in legal fees.

The 64-year-old “House of Cards” star has been involved in a number of sexual assault lawsuits over the past few years. Even though Spacey won some, he said they left him with no money. His conversation with Morgan was the first long interview he’s given since charges were filed, per The Independent

“It’s been a very interesting and, I think, an important couple of weeks where I’ve had an opportunity to start to be able to talk about things that, well, for me, in some cases I’ve never talked about before, and to take accountability for those places where I have behaved badly, and to hopefully put some facts out there that maybe a great majority of the public don’t know about,” he told Morgan on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

Morgan asked what the actor meant by “behaved badly.” Spacey replied, “Pushing the boundaries. Being too handsy. Touching someone sexually in a way that I didn’t know at the time they didn’t want.”

Spacey broke down in tears when Morgan asked where he was living. He mentioned that his house in Baltimore was being foreclosed on and sold at auction due to his legal debts.

Kevin Spacey breaks down as he tells Piers Morgan he’s lost his home and now owes ‘many millions’ in legal bills.

When Morgan asked if he was facing bankruptcy, Spacey said, “There’s been a couple of times when I thought I was going to file, but we’ve managed to sort of dodge it, at least as of today.”

When asked how much money he had, the actor said “none” and then clarified, “I still owe a lot of legal bills” to the tune of “many millions.”

“I’m not quite sure where I’m going to live now,” Spacey said. “I’ve spent so many years not wanting to talk about myself and avoiding questions about my personal life and my sexuality,” the actor, who is gay, added.

“I’ve come out of all this not bitter, not angry, not resentful,” the actor told Morgan.

When the interviewer asked him about flaws, Spacey responded, “There were bouts with arrogance. There were bouts with ego…My goal is now to prove that I am a man of good character.”

Spacey also discussed his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which he claims has been overblown. He tried to justify a photograph of him sitting with Epstein’s confidante Ghislaine Maxwell on the thrones at Buckingham Palace in 2002.

He said President Bill Clinton had invited him on a humanitarian aid trip to South Africa.

“I didn’t want to be around [Epstein] because I felt he put the president at risk on that trip to South Africa, because there were these young girls,” Spacey told Morgan. “We were like, ‘Who is this guy?’”

“So, we flew then to London, and the president said to me, ‘Before we leave tomorrow, do you want to come? I am going to go to Buckingham Palace tomorrow to see Prince Andrew, do you want to come?’” he continued. “I said, ‘Sure.’”

He said that’s when the photo was taken. “This Maxwell woman, she was one of many people to sit down next to me in that throne room,” Spacey continued. “I have no relationship with her. I had no relationship with [Epstein]. I mean he’s not my friend. I am not a confidant. I’ve never spent time with him.”
