‘F*** That’: Country Music Star Gets Tossed A Bud Light During Concert, Smashes It

Country music star Brantley Gilbert made it known during a recent concert that he’s not down with Anheuser-Busch teaming up with controversial transgender activist and social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Gilbert, an open supporter of former President Donald Trump, smashed a can of Bud Light to the ground when he was tossed the beer at a concert this past weekend, video shows.

“Yeah, f*** that,” the country star said after taking a look at the Bud Light can. After smashing it, Gilbert was tossed a different beer. He looked at it approvingly and tossed it to one of his bandmates to “shotgun,” or consume very quickly by punching a hole in the side of the can.

Unlike other stars who are too afraid to be open about their conservative-leaning politics, Gilbert has rocked pro-Trump gear and has even enjoyed his fans’ “F*** Joe Biden” chants at a concert in 2021.

And he’s not the only country star to weigh into the Bud Light-Mulvaney controversy. As The Daily Wire reported, John Rich and Travis Tritt joined a Bud Light boycott last week.

“What beer should my bar [Redneck Riviera] in Nashville replace #BudLight with?” Rich tweeted Wednesday, which led fans to flood the comments with suggestions.

“I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same,” Tritt shared on Twitter Wednesday evening. A few hours later, the singer also warned fans about purchasing Jack Daniel’s after an ad campaign featuring drag queens resurfaced online.

“In full disclosure, I was on a tour sponsored by Budweiser in the 90s. That was when Anheuser-Busch was American owned. A great American company that later sold out to the Europeans and became unrecognizable to the American consumer. Such a shame,” Tritt wrote in a follow-up.

Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth addressed the controversy with Mulvaney on Friday but fell short of appeasing folks on either side of the issue.

“We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people,” Whitworth said. “We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”

The statement notably contained no mea culpa and no mention of Mulvaney — a biological male who claims to be a “girl” — or the radical transgender ideology he espouses.

Secret Service Responds To Shooting Near VP Kamala Harris’ Residence

The crime wave in Washington, D.C., made its way to the residence of Vice President Kamala Harris overnight.

At around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, U.S. Secret Service officers responded to reports of a single gunshot at 34th and Massachusetts Avenue NW, near the U.S. Naval Observatory, the Secret Service said in a statement.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said crime scene units were investigating the discharge of a firearm.

“No one was reported to be injured and there is currently no indication that this incident was directed towards any protectees or the Naval Observatory,” added Lt. Paul Mayhair, another Secret Service spokesman.

The incident happened as the nation’s capital grapples with a rise in crime in the district in recent years, including a surge in gun violence. As reported by Axios, there was a 40% spike in reported violent crimes involving a gun between 2017, when there were 1,573, and last year, when the number rose to 2,203.

Politicians and their staffers have become victims of crime in recent weeks. A House Democrat, Angie Craig of Minnesota, made headlines after being violently assaulted in an elevator at her apartment building in D.C. And a staffer to Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was stabbed in a random attack.

The U.S. attorney in D.C. chose not to prosecute 67% of those arrested in the city last year, according to a Washington Post report. “Of course we are concerned,” D.C. Police Chief Robert Contree III was quoted as saying. “We believe every person we arrest should be off the streets.”

Despite these concerns, D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson appeared before the House Oversight Committee late last month and insisted “there is not a crime crisis in Washington, D.C.” He made these comments after President Joe Biden signed a measure several weeks ago that nixed an overhaul of the city’s criminal code that critics, including Republicans, decried as being too soft on crime.

The Secret Service said on Monday that roads around the intersection outside the Naval Observatory were temporarily closed due to the ongoing investigation.

Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, made a surprise visit to an abortion rights rally in Los Angeles over the weekend. Multiple reporters said Harris was still in California on Monday.
