Brittany Matthews, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, responded to podcast giant Joe Rogan this week after Rogan mocked her on a recent episode.

Rogan’s comments come after Matthews’ reportedly angered some fans throughout the course of the season with trash-talking and over-the-top celebrating.

Rogan had comedians Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and discussed the recent Super Bowl.

“You know what I like, though? I came around on Jackson,” Gillis said. “The brother that does TikToks, and his wife, his annoying wife that screams. Everyone hates on them, and it actually makes me happy.”

“Patrick Mahomes has a wife that’s just wild, she’s up in the box, she like films herself,” Gillis said. “Her and his brother, his brother does like TikToks, and Patrick obviously, he’s the man, and he’s got a crazy wife and a brother up in the box doing all that s***. And his wife is up there like, ‘you thought you were gonna beat us — think again!’”

The show played a clip of Mahomes’ wife celebrating, to which Rogan responded, “Woah, J****.”

“Problem is they keep that same energy when you get divorced,” Rogan said as everyone burst out laughing. “They come after you with that same energy.”

Matthews responded multiple times on Twitter to Rogan’s joke.

“Something about grown men talking shit about someone’s wife is real weird…” she wrote. “Actually grown ass men hating on women in general is pathetic.”

Chicago Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot lost her re-election race Tuesday after her first-term was plagued by crime, the inability to recover from the pandemic, and petty fighting with officials.

Homicide rates under Lightfoot’s tenure have skyrocketed to “generational highs,” while robberies, muggings, carjackings, and other property crimes have all seen a significant increase, according to The New York Times.

The two candidates that advanced to the runoff race are former schools CEO Paul Vallas, who received the most votes at 35% with nearly 90% of the votes in. The other candidate is Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson, who garnered 20% of the vote. Lightfoot only earned 16% of the vote.

The Associated Press called the race for Vallas and Johnson.

Lightfoot said that she called Johnson and Paul Vallas to congratulate them for making the runoff, which happens on April 4.

“Obviously we didn’t win the election today, but I stand here with my head held high,” she said. “I will be rooting and praying for the next mayor of Chicago.”
