Al Jazeera Journalist Killed In Airstrike Was A ‘Terrorist Who Participated In The October 7th Massacre’: IDF

An Al Jazeera reporter who was killed in an airstrike this week was allegedly a terrorist who participated in Hamas‘ October 7 massacre last year.

Ismail Al-Ghoul and his cameraman were killed in an airstrike while in a car in the al Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to CNN.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Securities Authority (ISA) said in a statement that in a joint operation, the Israel Air Force (IAF) “eliminated Ismail al-Ghoul, a Hamas Military Wing operative and Nukhba terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre.”

“As part of his role in the military wing, Al-Ghoul instructed other operatives on how to record operations and was actively involved in recording and publicizing attacks against IDF troops,” the statement said. “His activities in the field were a vital part of Hamas’ military activity. The IDF and ISA are operating in order to eliminate terrorists who participated in the October 7th Massacre and will continue to do so.”

CNN said that Al-Ghoul has reported live for most of the day from a location near the home of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed this week inside Iran.

Haniyeh — who celebrated his organization’s unprecedented terrorist attack against Israel on October 7 and who had publicly called for more attacks — was killed by bomb that was covertly smuggled into a guesthouse where he was staying two months before he got there.

The guesthouse was part of a large compound run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in an upscale neighborhood inside’s Iran’s capital city of Tehran.

Uh-Oh: Schumer Won’t Say Whether Biden’s Radical SCOTUS Overhaul Will Get A Vote

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) appears unwilling to commit to a vote on President Joe Biden’s radical plan to overhaul the Supreme Court, according to a recent report from Fox News digital.

While he did say on Monday that he was in favor of most if not all of Biden’s plan — which calls for term limits for Supreme Court Justices in addition to several other provisions — the only part that he signaled a willingness to move forward on in the near future was a legislative measure that would deny immunity to former presidents.

“I am particularly pleased President Biden called for undoing the damage of the Court’s recent immunity decision,” he said. “An option I am considering is drawing up legislation clarifying that the President is NOT immune from violations of federal law.”

Biden’s plan also called for a code of ethics that could be enforced against members of the high court and an amendment to the Constitution that stated presidents did not have immunity from criminal prosecution once they left office — and the report noted that none of those provisions were likely to make it through a divided Congress.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has already said that Biden’s plan would be “dead on arrival” in the lower chamber, saying, “Biden’s proposal to radically overhaul the U.S. Supreme Court would tilt the balance of power and erode not only the rule of law, but the American people’s faith in our system of justice. This proposal is the logical conclusion to the Biden-Harris Administration and Congressional Democrats’ ongoing efforts to delegitimize the Supreme Court.”

Biden lashed out at Johnson when confronted with the Speaker’s statement, telling reporters, “That’s what he is … Dead on arrival.”
