Netanyahu Nominates Trump For Nobel Prize: ‘Well-Deserved’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed Monday that he has nominated President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Netanyahu presented Trump with a letter the Israeli leader sent to the Nobel committee recommending the president to win the lauded peace prize. The prime minister handed the letter to Trump during a meeting at the White House.

“I want to express the appreciation and admiration, not only of all Israelis, but of the Jewish people and many, many admirers around the world for your leadership, your leadership of the free world, your leadership of a just cause, and the pursuit of peace and security, which you are leading in many lands, but now, especially in the Middle East,” said Netanyahu. “The president has an extraordinary team, and I think our teams, together, make an extraordinary combination to meet challenges and seize opportunities.”

“But the president has already realized great opportunities. He forged the Abraham Accords. He’s forging peace as we speak in one country, in one region after the other,” he continued. “I want to present to you, Mr. President, the letter I sent to the Nobel Prize Committee. It’s nominating you for the Peace Prize, which is well-deserved, and you should get it.”

Trump accepted the letter, responding that “coming from you in particular, this is very meaningful.”

The two leaders met at the White House to discuss developments in the Middle East just weeks after the two worked together to take down Iran’s nuclear program.

Israel hit numerous military and nuclear program-related targets around Iran during what the White House later called the “12-Day War.” Trump ordered a strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities that targeted Iran’s fortified facility built underground at Fordo, as well as two other sites. The ordinance delivered by U.S. B-2 bombers and submarines finished off the strikes against Iran’s nuclear program.

Last month, Pakistan nominated Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize “in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis.”

Leftist Judge Blocks Trump From Defunding Planned Parenthood With Big Beautiful Bill

On Monday, shortly after Planned Parenthood sued the Trump administration over a provision in the “big, beautiful bill” that would have cut federal funding for the abortion giant, a leftist federal judge in Massachusetts blocked the provision outright.

U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani, an Obama appointee, approved Planned Parenthood’s request to halt the provision, which freezes Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood for one year.

Talwani’s restraining order, which will last for two weeks, holds that “defendants, their agents, employees, appointees, successors, and anyone acting in concert or participation with Defendants are hereby enjoined from enforcing, retroactively enforcing, or otherwise applying” the relevant provision of the bill.

“‘Defendants shall take all steps necessary to ensure that Medicaid funding continues to be disbursed in the customary manner,” Talwani added.

“Talwani’s ruling still allows the administration to enforce the provision against other providers, but Planned Parenthood says it comprises almost the entirety of the impacted entities,” The Hill noted.

In 2024, Planned Parenthood’s annual report noted the organization had performed 392,715 abortions between Oct. 1, 2021, and Sept. 30, 2022. That represented a 5% increase over the year before, when 374,155 abortions were performed. Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court in June 2022.

“The document says that locations in states ‘where abortion is protected’ saw a 700% increase in demand,” the Catholic News Agency reported. “The report also said that Planned Parenthood helped to refer and coordinate travel for over 33,000 abortions.”

In late June, the Supreme Court ruled that lower courts do not have the unilateral authority to block presidential orders. Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who wrote the opinion for the majority, stated, “federal courts do not exercise general oversight of the Executive Branch; they resolve cases and controversies consistent with the authority Congress has given them.”
