‘It’ll Be Blacks Against Migrants’: Chicagoans Warn Of Coming Violent Turf Wars With Venezuelans

Chicago gang members and ex-convicts are warning of coming violent turf wars with newly arrived Venezuelan migrants who are part of the notorious gang Tren De Aragua, or TDA.

Not unlike other cities across the country, Chicago has been inundated with migrants as the border crisis rages on. Since 2022, an estimated 48,000 migrants have come to the city, with the majority of new migrant arrivals hailing from Venezuela.

“When the black gangs here get fed up with the illegalities and criminal activities of these migrants or non-citizens, the city of Chicago is going to go up in flames and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do about it when the bloodshed hits the streets,” Tyrone Muhammad, an ex-con and former gang member, told the New York Post. “It’ll be blacks against migrants.”

Members of TDA are taking over Chicago turf, residents said. They’re also receiving robust welfare benefits, further angering residents and gang members who say the money should be going to Chicago citizens who are suffering.

“The real issue is that America has allowed gangs to enter our country,” a former gang member told the Post. “They let terrorist groups into our country!”

Residents say TDA gang members and other migrants are flooding their shelters, increasingly taking up apartments, and displacing Chicago residents.

The displacement of residents is happening elsewhere, too, like in Springfield, Ohio. There, Haitian migrants, who are subsidized by taxpayers, are sometimes paying $3,000 a month in rent, which citizens can’t afford to pay.

It’s unclear how many TDA gang members are in the city, though authorities have confirmed that these gang members are present. With Venezuelan immigrants, U.S. officials are not given their criminal history. Cuba, China, and some other countries also don’t share criminal records with the U.S. This makes it impossible for authorities to know who is a criminal.

Just last year, some 330,000 Venezuelans crossed the southern border. During the Biden-Harris regime, thus far, close to a million have tried to enter the U.S.

TDA migrant gang members are causing issues in other parts of the nation, too. As the governor of a border state, Greg Abbott of Texas is on the front lines of dealing with the gang.

“TDA is notorious for their brutal violence and murder, and their kidnapping, extortion, bribery, and trafficking of drugs, weapons, and even humans,” Gov. Abbott said during a press conference last week.

“They’ve been linked to more than 100 law enforcement investigations across the country,” the governor continued. “They were involved in the brutal attack and assault upon New York Police Department law enforcement officers. Reports have also linked TDA to the murder of Laken Riley.”

There have also been reports and shocking footage of alleged migrant TDA gang members in Aurora, Colorado. One man told CNN that condemned buildings he owns in Aurora have been taken over by TDA gang members. There was also shocking video circulating online out of an apartment complex showing armed men walking down hallways and kicking open an apartment door.

Authorities in Aurora, who’ve largely tried to downplay some of these shocking reports, made arrests in connection to that apartment complex incident and have admitted that it’s possible these men are tied to TDA. They noted that it’s hard to confirm the connection since Venezuela doesn’t share criminal background information with the U.S.

Ellen DeGeneres Laughs Off Idea She’s Mean In Final Stand-Up Special

Ellen DeGeneres laughed off the idea that she was ever mean after being canceled due to “toxic” workplace claims in what she’s called her final stand-up comedy special.

Debuting on Tuesday on Netflix, “Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval” touches on the end of the 66-year-old former talk show host’s career in Hollywood for a second time — this time when her talk show career ended after 19 seasons due to “toxic” workplace claims on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” A Buzzfeed report published in 2020 about “The Ellen Show” claimed it was a “toxic” workplace — full of intimidation and even alleged sexual abuse.

“Alright, let me catch you up on what’s been going on with me since you last saw me,” DeGeneres said in the special. “I got chickens. … Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business for being mean.”

“I got kicked out of show business. Yeah, because I’m mean. You can’t be mean and be in show business. They’ll kick you out. No mean people in show business,” she joked. “Yeah, y’all heard that I was mean. Everybody heard that I was mean.”

“That was a big story, huh. That had some legs on it,” DeGeneres continued. “The first I heard about it I … I came across a headline that said, ‘How Ellen DeGeneres became the most hated person in America.’ Now I didn’t see the other names on the ballot, but I have to — it’s an impressive title, it really is.”

The comedian joked that what made it “worse” was “there was no trophy, no awards banquet, nothing. It was quite a shock to me … because for 17 years, there were all these polls that basically said I was one of the most trusted people in the country.”

“Here’s the problem: I’m a comedian who got a talk show and I ended the show every day by saying, ‘Be kind to one another,'” DeGeneres explained. “Yeah, I know, it seemed like a good idea. … Had I ended my show by saying, ‘Go f*** yourselves,’ people would have been pleasantly surprised to find out I’m kind.”

At one point, she talked about how this was her second ousting from show business, the first being in 1997 when she came out as a lesbian.

“Kicked me out before because I told them I was gay. No gay people in show business. They kick you out. Can’t be gay and be in show business,” Ellen joked. “Eventually they’re going to kick me out a third time for being old — mean, old, and gay, the triple crown.”

Near the end of the hour-plus special, DeGeneres looped back around again to being labeled mean.

“Because being in this business, I have had to care what people think,” the comedian said. “Because being a comedian or a host, it’s our only real currency for success … and I have spent an entire lifetime trying to make people happy. And I’ve cared far too much what other people think of me.”

“So, the thought of anyone thinking that I’m mean was devastating to me. And it consumed me for a long time,” she added, noting that with time, we gain perspective. “With perspective, caring what people think, to a degree, is healthy. But not if it affects your mental health.”

“So after a lifetime of caring, I just can’t anymore. So, I don’t,” DeGeneres said. “I have a choice of people remembering me as someone who is mean or someone who is beloved … beloved, I chose that.”

DeGeneres closed the show by saying, “I’m so glad I got to say goodbye on my terms.”
